Japanese plastic packaging continues to improve (middle)
Plastic packaging continues to rise
excellent performance, strong market adaptability, convenient processing, low cost...
the output of plastic packaging products has shown an increasing trend for many years. From 1993 to 2003, the output of plastic packaging products in Japan increased from 3.28 million tons in 1993 to 3.41 million tons in 1995 and 3.63 million tons in 1997, slightly reduced to 3.61 million tons and 3.46 million tons in 1998 and 1999, and increased continuously again after 2000. In 2000, 2001 and 2002, it increased to 3.5 million tons, 3.65 million tons and 3.75 million tons respectively, reaching 3.8 million tons in 2003, setting a record. The concert of plastic packaging products in Japan, with a planned area of 65000 square meters, reached 1540 billion yen in 1997, fell to 1483 billion yen in 1998, sharply reduced to 1286 billion yen in 1999, 1391 billion yen and 1425 billion yen in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In 2003, it increased slightly to 1432 billion yen, an increase of 0.5%, accounting for 25.6% of the total output value of all kinds of packaging products. Japan produced 3.8 million tons of plastic packaging products in 2003, up 1.4% from 3.75 million tons in 2002, accounting for 18.4% of the total output. Among them, the film and sheet were 592billion yen and 1.88 million tons, an increase of 0.8% and 1.0% respectively. Hollow shaped containers are 298.6 billion yen and 680000 tons, injection molded containers are 254.2 billion yen and 460000 tons, and foam products are 156.2 billion yen and 320000 tons. From the perspective of plastic raw materials, the output of PE products is the largest, with 1.5 million tons in 2003, accounting for 40% of all plastic packaging products. Among them, 950000 tons of LDPE and 550000 tons of HDPE. PP is 820000 tons, accounting for 21%, PS and pet are both 670000 tons, accounting for 18%. Plastic packaging plays an important role in Japan's packaging industry, and its output value continues to increase, from 21.6% in 1999 to 22.1% in 2000, 23.7% in 2001, and more than 25% in 2002 and 2003. The proportion of plastic packaging materials and containers in the total output also increased from 15.9% in 2000 to 17% in 2001 and more than 18% in 2003
the consumption of paper and paperboard packaging is declining
resources and environmental impact are the main reasons...
the output value of paper and paperboard packaging materials and products was 2383.4 billion yen in 2003, a decrease of 0.5% over the previous year, and the output was 12.56 million tons, an increase of 0.2% over the previous year. Paper and paperboard packaging materials and containers account for the largest proportion of all kinds of packaging products in Japan. Their output value accounted for 42.7% of the total output value in 2002 and 2003, and their output accounted for 59.9% of the total output in 2002 and 60.7% in 2003. Among them, the output value of packaging paper and bag making thick paper (including the heavy packaging kraft paper bag that is expected to be installed with supporting equipment in early December) was 268.4 billion yen, and the output was 1.44 million tons, a decrease of 2% and 1.7% respectively over the previous year, which should be noted; Heavy corrugated boxes were 1268.4 billion yen and 9.09 million tons, an increase of 1.5% and 0.5% respectively; Paper containers were 617billion yen and 1.57 million tons, a decrease of 1.7% and 0.1% respectively over the previous year. Paper tubes were 65.8 billion yen, a decrease of 2.9% over the previous year, and 320000 tons, an increase of 2.5% over the previous year
metal packaging materials also showed a decline
large energy consumption is the main reason. The decline of iron sheet packaging has become a set trend, but aluminum foil has increased slightly due to its unique characteristics...
the output value of metal packaging products decreased from 1091.6 billion yen in 2002 to 1038.6 billion yen in 2003, a decrease of 4.8%, accounting for 18.6% of the total output value. The output was 2.03 million tons, a decrease of 6% from 2.16 million tons in 2002, accounting for 9.8% of the total output. Among them, iron sheet products were 511.4 billion yen and 1.53 million tons, a decrease of 8.2% and 7% respectively. Aluminum containers for food were 438.6 billion yen and 440000 tons, a decrease of 1.7% and 3% respectively. Aluminum foil was 73.4 billion yen and 50000 tons, up 1.6% and 2.7% respectively. The proportion of the output value of metal packaging products in the total output value of packaging materials and containers in Japan has declined in recent years. From 21.1% in 1998, the transformation of the coal-fired furnace of the plastic granulator system has become an important issue to be solved urgently, which has fallen to 20.3% in 2000, 19.7% in 2001 and 19.2% in 2002, 18.6% in 2003 and 2.5% in five years. The proportion of output is also declining, which was more than 11% from 1998 to 2001, decreased to 10.3% in 2002, and fell below 10% in 2003
